My sister and I just enjoyed four days of funny films and fun parties at the 2nd Annual LA Comedy Shorts Festival. The programming was great, and the attendees were even better. I can honestly say that it was one of my favorite film festivals I've attended.

Portland! I ran out of time to talk about the shopping, but let it be known that Portland had some of the BEST thrift stores I've come across anywhere. Great stuff, and totally reasonable prices. And I don't even like shopping!

Here's Part 2 of my delicious trip to Portland, OR. One thing that I failed to mention that I really liked about the restaurants there is that EVERYPLACE had at least vegetarian, and probably vegan options. Even, like, Meaty Meaterson's Meat Palace would have something for the non-meat eater.

New vlog up! Check out my road trip stops along the 101! A few additional tips while driving the central coast: Some of the cheapest gas along the way is on Wild Horse Road near King City. And, DON'T SPEED THROUGH KING CITY! They LOVE giving tickets there. From 5 miles before to 5 miles after, just set your cruise control to the exact speed limit, and sit back.

MURDER & MAYHEM!

Yes, that's what you can partake of this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Write Act Repertory Theater.

Come enjoy an evening of free booze and whodunnit as you see me play the fun-loving millionaire and possible victim or murderess Audelia Montgomery in GRUESOME HOTEL.

Show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $15, but bring a friend and get two admissions for only $20! Write Act Rep is located at St. Stephen's Church on the south side of Yucca, just west of Gower.

So, I'm still not quite in the habit of regular blogging. I'm tryin'...Here's what's been going on...

I recently joined Write Act Repertory Theater, right here in Hollywood. It's an established Company which recently went through a major change in management and membership, so we're rebuilding from, er, the first-floor up.

My beloved writer's group WORD ADDICTS is in the process of becoming a major part of the "write" part of Write Act. We've moved our meetings to the theater, and have the intention of creating original one-acts and plays for the theater to produce. It also gives us a great opportunity to work out sketches on the stage that we may wish to film later.

On that note, I've just returned from a trip to Hawaii. Wow. I mean that most sincerely. If you've never been, stop being stupid and go. But do yourself a favor and see something besides (or in addition to) Waikiki or Kona. But I digress...what I was going to say is I need to write the next big thing that shoots on one of the islands. TV or movie I don't yet know, but you bet I was scoping out places to shoot and thinking of script ideas. If that's what I've got to do to live in Hawaii, by golly, that's what I'll do.

Finally, I'll be understudying the role of Ruffiana in Write Act's production of A COMPANY OF WAYWARD SAINTS which opens at the end of this month. In addition to any performances that I may be required for as the understudy, I will be performing the role for one weekend run of three shows during the month of July. Exact dates TBA.

Wow, so, it's sorta pitiful that I've not updated in, well, too long a time. That's not to say I've done nothing. It's just to say, in some respects, I'm lazy. Soooo, In the last 11 months, I've taken some great classes/workshops (including a FANTASTIC "audition techniques" one with G. Charles Wright, which I wholeheartedly recommend to all TV and film actors), worked on some stuff with The Word Addicts, and completed episode 1 of AFTER JUDGMENT, which is a web series in which I am a principal character. I think a good New Years Resolution would be to keep up with this, and finally update all my stuff. Like I said I was gonna 11 months ago. Yeah. So, talk at ya soon.

Related to acting in the "Life Experience" category, I spent a couple of weeks in Europe with Mom, Dad, and sis. Paris, and a few spots in Italy, to be more exact. Michelangelo's DAVID really IS all that. And maybe more. Ahhh, David.
